Beckie Bortner is President and Co-Founder of North American Fire Protection (NAFPCO), a nationally operating design-build fire sprinkler contractor trusted on some of the most complex and high-value facilities in North America. With a background in marketing and strategic growth, Beckie brings a disciplined, systems-driven approach to building scalable operations, high-performing teams and a brand rooted in trust, execution and life safety. Under her leadership, NAFPCO has expanded rapidly across industrial, cold storage, food processing, pharmaceutical and mission-critical markets, partnering with leading general contractors, developers and owners nationwide. She is deeply committed to elevating the skilled trades and developing the next generation of industry leaders through training, mentorship and workforce development. Beckie believes in building businesses with intention—protecting people and property today while creating a legacy that lasts.
Mitch Bortner is Vice President of Business Development and Design at North American Fire Protection (NAFPCO), where he leads strategic growth, estimating and technical design coordination across complex industrial and cold-storage projects nationwide. With a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and more than two decades in the fire protection industry, Mitch is known for his strategic mindset and estimating expertise on large, high-risk facilities. He serves as the technical authority for NAFPCO’s field teams, providing real-time problem solving and constructability guidance on fire pumps, ESFR and preaction systems, integrated detection technologies, and complex code-driven environments. A trusted resource across the organization, Mitch plays a critical role in aligning project strategy, system design, and execution—ensuring NAFPCO delivers reliable, code-compliant solutions on the most demanding projects in the country.
